Best Action Thriller Movies Like Extraction 2 to Watch on Netflix right now
Action thriller movie enthusiasts have praised Netflix’s Extraction 2 extensively. Extraction 2 is the sequel to the 2020s, which primarily took place in the sepia-toned streets of Bangladesh. Chris Hemsworth portrays the same soldier, Tyler Rake, in Extraction 2 and 2020.
Chris Hemsworth has portrayed Thor, the God of Thunder, since 2010, so it is not unusual to refer to him as an action hero. Even though his time in Marvel films was humorous, it diminished what made Hemsworth a decent action hero, to begin with. The tall, good-looking, physically strong, and affable Australian actor is everything a leading man should be.
When fans learn that a third instalment will shortly be released, they will be thrilled to see more heart-pounding action sequences that have made the Extraction films so popular.
Here are some additional best action-thriller movies on Netflix that you can watch;

Best Thriller Movies to Watch if You Loved Netflix’s The Night Agent
Nobody
Better Call Saul’s, Bob Odenkirk’s character in Nobody, is a combat hero. Ilya Naishuller is responsible for film production. Also, he created the nonsensical Hardcore Henry. It depicts a man who does not defend his family when they’re assaulted in their neighbourhood residence. He becomes a merciless action hero determined to restore his family’s integrity. This results from some repressed rage and a bit of a hidden past.
The Mother
In this thrilling action movie, Jennifer Lopez portrays The Mother, a former army sharpshooter who will do anything to defend her infant. She goes into seclusion, endangering the safety of her child. Her life disintegrates when she discovers someone from her troubled past has abducted her daughter. JLO is forced to do everything possible to save her precious offspring.
Lopez demonstrates in The Mother that she is capable of more than romantic comedies. She delivers a captivating performance as an action film actress. The action sequences are mind-blowing, and the performances are so affecting that the relationship between mother and daughter may induce tears in some viewers. Despite its apparent plot, this film is still entertaining and thrilling for those who can look past that.
WheelMan
If you enjoyed the one-man-against-the-world tone of Extraction 2, you’ll enjoy Wheelman, an action-packed criminal film about a chauffeur for a botched bank robbery. Frank Grillo’s performance as the primary character rivals that of any tough 1980s action hero.
This is significant because almost the entire film consists of Grillo driving around alone, attempting to determine how a straightforward crime could have gone so awry. There are no massive action sequences in developing countries with missile launchers and burning produce stands, but Wheelman gives you a dose of adrenaline in the arm with its unrelenting tension.
The Wheelman’s BMW E46’s Bullitt-style hums and revving only add to the exhilaration. Much less than it merits. Comparable to watching a Safdie Brothers film while driving.
Triple Threat
Sit down and remove the pacifier from your mouth if you enjoyed Extraction 2 and want to see more films like it. But you haven’t yet tried Asian action films? Triple Threat-esque films are far superior to Extraction.
Similar to Extraction, soldiers are recruited to defend someone, but instead of one large man, the team consists of three of today’s top action stars: Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, and Tiger Chen. Together, they are capable of throwing 400 strikes before you can retract your arm. In the films, shooting and punching are more essential than the storyline.
The Night Comes for Us
After watching Triple Threat, you should watch The Night Comes for Us, a fantastic 2018 action thriller film directed by Timo Tjahjanto. Even though it lacks the military emphasis of the movie Extraction, it depicts a father who turns his back on the criminal organisation he works for to defend his son from evildoers.
The plot, the plot, the plot, and so on.
You’re searching for scenes of violence with a capital V, such is your favourite, which takes place in a slaughterhouse and employs fractured cow bones as weaponry. It appears even better in person. Hemsworth would not survive three seconds against these men. Tjahjanto creates excellent action films.
The Gray Man
This Netflix original is considered to be among the best action-thriller movies of all time. Ryan Gosling portrays Six, a CIA-hired assassin. The Gray Man, written by Mark Geaney and directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, is about a highly experienced CIA assassin who discovers a horrifying truth on the job. So, a crazed man-hunter places a bounty on his head, sparking an international effort to eliminate him.
Some may argue that The Gray Man is a James Bond rip-off, but there’s no doubt that it works as a thrilling Netflix action film. Chris Evans’ portrayal of a crazed villain and Ryan Gosling’s excellent performance contribute to the film’s overall appeal. Fans of action thrillers will also be captivated by the film’s thrilling action sequences.
Triple Frontier
If you’re looking for an Extraction like film to watch on Netflix right now, you may want to check out Triple Frontier. A criminal drama that took a long time to produce but was eventually released last year. J.C. Chandor, the director of A Most Violent Year and All Is Lost, directs an A-list cast including Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac, and Charlie Hunnam. The former special forces operators reunite for a mercenary mission to take down a South American drug lord and make a lot of money.
Naturally, nothing goes according to plan, and the action devolves into pandemonium when they become trapped with their treasure and are unable to return home. Similar to Extraction, Triple Frontier has a “no mercy” attitude and does not hold back. It is less action-packed and concentrates more on the bonds of brotherhood among the dispersed group of friends, but it is a philosophical action-thriller with a penchant for cruel killing that pairs well with Extraction’s more excessive gunfire and killing.
John Wick: Chapter 4
Only Chad Staheski’s John Wick Series can be said to have had an enduring impact on contemporary action films. After four films, the John Wick franchise has become every action fan’s dream.
The first John Wick film had an unremarkable plot and some excellent action sequences, but after four films, the franchise has become every action fan’s dream. Like Extraction, Stahelski and his team have transformed action sequences into a form of visual art by shooting, mauling, pricking, poking, striking, and exploding their way into the best action-thriller movies Hall of Fame.
6 Underground
This action film directed by Michael Bay is about a group of intelligent people who fake their deaths to become a rogue organization and murder dangerous criminals around the globe. The film is filled with action, including thrilling auto rallies, intense gunfights, and incredible stunts.
It is a fast-paced, action-packed film with mind-blowing visual effects, intriguing characters, and Bay’s signature explosive style, even though Netflix did not produce a sequel to 6 Underground due to low viewership. It has no qualms about being a terrific action film, and it does not attempt to be more profound than it is. But if you desire more than action and a wonderful cast, this film may not be for you.
Maria
We return to Southeast Asia for a final option. This time, we travel to the Philippines for a story of vengeance involving striking and gunfire. Cristine Reyes portrays Maria, a former murderer who resigned to raise a family, only to have her family murdered when she refused to murder innocent people on a mission.
You’ll come for the action, but you’ll get caught up in the fervour because you want to see Maria execute the criminals who murdered her husband and daughter. There are numerous combat sequences in which badass women destroy muscle heads and each other. In the Asian action film industry, Pedring Lopez is a director to watch. His camerawork is excellent in parts.
