K-HOT EARLY LIFE AND CAREER
K-Hot was born into a family of five children. He grew up in a refugee camp in Kenya known as Kakuma, having had to flee the civil war in his native Sudan. His love for music came from school and things that happen around him and have an immediate impact on him and those around him.
K-Hot was enrolled in a primary school in Turkana County with his siblings and due to the aridity of the area and higher temperatures, he faced a lot of challenges adapting to the new environment. After he finished his primary education, he later went to Central Province, Nyeri county where he joined his secondary education and furthered his education in Canada where he later on, of course after he was done with his studies, ventured into music.
But before finishing his studies, K-Hot had already developed an interest in music. He draws inspiration from artists like Nelly, Esir, Drake and Migos among many others. He’d sing their song or rap their lyrics word by word.
In 2017, K-Hot recorded his first debut single dubbed “Moto Bana”. Depending on the level K-Hot was at, the song was a hit, because everyone that had heard it would give a very positive reaction after which he became so much more confident in being an artist and began his musical career in 2018.
Any other artist that was coming up at that time would hit K-Hot up for a feature since he was the talk of the town at that particular time. After that record, the rest of the songs recorded by K-Hot were 99% hits. Among many songs that he has done is Moto Bana, Jiki like Capital featuring Exray, Capital Mixer featuring Exray, Ssaru, Rekless, Swatt, Smady Ting and Odi Wa Muranga, Taliban featuring Buruklyn boys, Sip or puff.

K-Hot’s talent and hard work have not gone unnoticed, and in recent years he got endorsed by major international brands, including Red Bull and Bet365. With the endorsement, he has been able to further promote his music and reach new audiences, solidifying his status as one of the leading voices in the South Sudanese music scene.
